Your body is seen.
You’re already strong, you just want to see what else you’re made of.
Working out should be challenging, but it shouldn’t feel awful, like you’re fighting a fight you don’t even know how to fight because the rules weren’t written with you in mind.⦾⦾⦾Your body wasn’t taken into consideration period. Not your menstrual cycle. Not your hormonal changes. Not your energy flow.In fact, your moods and energies were dismissed or seen as excuses.Likely you questioned your own discipline, efforts, resolve, “lack of” will power because none of this fits in with workouts conceived and designed for male bodies that perform differently.

⦾⦾⦾We are changing the narrative, the circumstances, and the design. We are making the space for women to train according to their menstrual flow or hormonal season.

⦾⦾⦾The narrative: Women are experts in what womens’ bodies experience and are the best resource partners to design training programs for women. The circumstances: A morning just for women who want to be fit, healthy, and strong. And a space to talk about our bodies after. The design: Workouts grouped by your menstrual phase or hormonal season, to work with where you are, not where you are invisible.

⦾⦾⦾Join us on April 11 in Central Park for a workout session.
Part running and part strength.
⦾ The Run - An adaptable 5k. You will choose your group either by menstrual phase or hormonal season. Within those groups, your workout can be adapted by time or distance to work for you.⦾ The Strength - Using yoga and your body weight, your strength session will focus on engaging muscles for strength, resistance and gentle impact for bone density, and core work for balance/mobility.⦾ The Girl Talk - The space opens up to talk about our changing bodies, share what we are creating with you, and raffle off some sponsored merch. You get a month’s access to Sync N cycle-syncing fitness app for more workouts based on your menstrual cycle. This morning was imagined and built for you.Register here, see you there.

Teaching yoga came to me during a class when a teacher taught in a way that made me think, “Oh, I didn't know you could teach yoga like that.” It gave me permission to use yoga as a lens, not a dogma. My yoga aims to serve the student, not the other way around. My first triathlon was 20 years ago. I didn't think beyond that one race. What I didn't expect was the motley crew of endurance-loving people I'd get thoroughly suckered into a lifetime of racing with. Some of my best friends are people I met "communally suffering” through training and unpredictable race conditions.I ran the Tokyo Marathon this year and finished feeling like a winner. I set a new PR and broke sub-four hours more than 15 years in the making. Training through this past NYC winter had me digging DEEEEEP into my soul some days.I have never worked so hard to get this PR. I was 100% spent physically and emotionally at the end, knowing I left everything out there. That was a glorious moment to experience. There is no satisfaction like having fully expended yourself towards a goal and achieving it. I will be thinking about this for a long time.200hr + 500hr RYT + Yoga 4 Cancer certifications - I have been in rooms where people are not sure how much time they have.
