Overwhelmed by where to even start practicing yoga? Cause like, there are a shit-ton of options out there. I get it.
How are you supposed to know how to pick and what to look for given the buffet, all-you-can-eat options out there.
I was once so confused by all the styles, the language, verbiage used in class (inconsistent use of Sanskrit and English between them all), styles that felt like bullshit, styles that demanded they were the "right one", styles that housed too much drama by the "chosen elite" within them...even the one that was "for the people", got embroiled in a hot mess.
What do you trust? Is the label beginner actually beginner? Is there any consistency across styles?

Here are some things to consider when trying to choose what will work for you:
- do they teach basics or foundational elements to yoga like breath work and stillness or is it all primarily physical/movement based
- do they explain things in a way that you can understand and go at a pace that allows you to learn, apply and retain
- is the style dogmatic and do you want that
- is it trendy or pushing some cute element or animal in lieu of a substantial practice or recognition of the roots of yoga
- do you like the way you feel in class and after :)

These are 12-bite sized sessions that are mostly around 5 minutes long. They are gentle, all are seated (although you can choose to stand for some), and you won't need props for them.
You will get to practice breath, stillness, movement, and meditation/visualizations.
My recommendation is to do one at a time and refrain from binging them. Take 12 full days to get through them. After the first round, you can double or triple up if you like.
As a beginner it's easy to be overwhelmed, because these are so short it is tempting to just "keep going", but give yourself permission to slow down.
Absorb each session, one day at a time. If it's not all in row, also ok. Just for the first time through, try to do only one in a day. :)
This is a course I originally put up on IG (if you want to consume there I'm @deathandyogastudio), it's $0, but proceeds from this course if you choose one of the buy options will be donated to organizations, causes, and/or individuals that support or promote diverse, colorful people as part of my In Kindness program.
Because all sessions are very gentle, this is appropriate for those touched by cancer as long as you have been cleared by your physician.
Nice things People have said about this course...
